The COMPASS Study, sponsored
by Moderna and supported by PicnicHealth
About the Partnership
We’re happy to share this new research opportunity with you. The COMPASS Study, sponsored by Moderna and supported by PicnicHealth, is designed to better understand what life is like for people living with methylmalonic acidemia (MMA) due to mutase deficiency (MUT) and propionic acidemia (PA).
About the COMPASS Study
The COMPASS Study, sponsored by Moderna, aims to better understand the real-world experience of individuals living with MMA and PA—beyond the clinical trial setting. This is an observational study, meaning no new treatments, visits, or changes to care are required.
With your permission, PicnicHealth will securely collect and organize medical records for you or your loved one. Only de-identified data—without names or personal details—is shared with researchers.
By looking at health information over time, researchers can better understand how MMA and PA progress, including disease patterns, quality of life, healthcare use, and outcomes such as metabolic events and the impact of transplants.
This research may help improve care and inform future treatments. It only takes a few minutes to sign up, and PicnicHealth handles the rest.
As a thank-you for your time, you’ll receive an e-gift card once eligibility is confirmed. You’ll also get a free PicnicHealth account to view and manage medical records in one place—making it easier to track care and share information with your care team.
You are eligible for participating in the COMPASS Study if you or your loved one:
- Have been diagnosed with MMA or PA
- Reside and receive care in the U.S.
