Nutricia Changes Production of GlutarAde
PACK SIZE AND MINOR NUTRITION CHANGES TO CERTAIN NUTRICIA METABOLIC PRODUCTS
Effective November 2024
Dear Metabolic Community,
Nutricia announced modifications to several of their medical food products for individuals with MSUD, Organic Acidemias, and PKU. Changes are expected to take place starting November 2024 into early 2025, as the current product supply depletes.
Product changes include:
- Product code and pack size
- Nutrition information and ingredients; taste profile not expected to change
- Removal of plastic scoops
- Elimination of artificial colors
- Addition of soy fiber to some products
Affected products include:
- Complex MSD Essential and Complex MSD Amino Acid Blend (MSUD)
- GlutarAde Essential (Glutaric Acidemia type 1)
- PhenylAde GMP Drink Mix, PhenylAde GMP Mix-In, PhenylAde GMP ULTRA, PhenylADE MTE Amino Acid Blend, PhenylAde 60 Drink Mix, PhenylAde Essential Drink Mix (PKU)
